All merchandise is sold as is.

The Merchandise comes from the largest retail stores in the United States, all merchandise has been inspected and BEFORE being dispatched undergoes biosecurity controls. It is sold AS IS, therefore it is important that you carefully read the conditions of the merchandise.

What Merchandise Conditions Do We Sell On USPLIN

Below you will find a full explanation of the different product conditions we carry on USPLIN along with packaging and warranty information.

Product Conditions We Sell

Brand New

Inventory is in “retail ready” condition and has NO cosmetic defects, blemishes, dents, scratches or signs of age. BRAND NEW inventory is in original manufacturer packaging, still factory sealed and has never been opened or used.

Like New (Box Damage)

Inventory has NO cosmetic defects, blemishes, dents, scratches or signs of age. LIKE NEW inventory is in original manufacturer packaging, however the packaging has been OPENED and in some cases may be DAMAGED.

Refurbished

Grade A

Inventory is in “like new, retail ready” condition with NO cosmetic defects, blemishes, dents, scratches or signs of age. GRADE A items have been restored to meet manufacturer quality standards.

Product is packaged in cleaned original boxes, new white boxes or new brown boxes that are retail ready. Product is fully accessorized using new/ original accessories, and has all the original product documentation; with the exception of the original warranty card.

Grade B

Inventory has been inspected, tested, and restored to the original manufacturer’s operating specifications. This fully-functioning item is in “retail ready” condition with SLIGHT cosmetic defects (minor blemishes and/or light scratches). Slight wear or feathering will default a GRADE-A item to become a GRADE-B item.

Grade C

Inventory has been inspected, tested, and restored to the original manufacturer’s operating specifications. This fully-functioning product is in “retail ready” condition with SIGNIFICANT cosmetic defects (significant blemishes and/or significant scratches, dents, or frame damage).

Tested Not Working

Inventory has gone through preliminary testing and has failed a technical functionality and/or physical condition test. NO REPAIR HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED on this inventory. Packaging may be in various states including: opened, distressed and/or missing. There may be units that lack essential components, accessories and documentation.

Typically, yield rate after technicians work on repairing the product could produce 30% to 60% working items. This inventory can be repaired with basic technical skills such as firmware upgrades, software fixes, hard resets, and parts harvesting/swapping. This is not a guarantee; simply an estimate based on our experience with this inventory grade. Warranties are not valid on this condition of product and product is sold “AS IS”; cosmetic and operational condition is not guaranteed.

Tested Not Working (Salvage)

Inventory has gone through GENERAL REPAIRS and has failed a technical functionality and/or physical condition test. The packaging may be in various states including: opened, distressed and/or missing. There may be units that lack essential components, accessories, and documentation.

Best practices indicate higher yields through combining SALVAGE parts/components to create working units. SALVAGE inventory can also be used for parts harvesting, but this inventory will contain defective parts as well as there has been some parts harvesting on this inventory already.

Typically, yield rate will produce 5% to 10% working items. This is not a guarantee; simply an estimate based on our experience with this inventory grade. Warranties are not valid on this condition of product and product is sold “AS IS”; cosmetic and operational condition is not guaranteed.

Tested Not Working (SCRAP)

Inventory has gone through EXTENSIVE REPAIRS and PARTS HARVESTING and has failed a technical functionality and/or physical condition test. The packaging may be in various states including: opened, distressed and/or missing. There will be units that lack essential key components, accessories, and documentation.

SCRAP inventory may contain some functional parts, but may be missing major parts and internal components. Best practices indicate higher yields through combining SCRAP parts/components to create working units. SCRAP inventory can also be used for parts harvesting.

Warranties are not valid on this condition of product and product is sold “AS IS”; cosmetic and operational condition is not guaranteed.

Untested Customer Returns

Inventory has been sold to an end user and returned through a retail storefront, manufacturer, website, and/or a distribution center. No testing or repairs have been attempted on this grade of product. The packaging may be in various states including: new, opened, distressed and/or missing. There may be units that lack essential components, accessories and documentation.

Typically, this inventory has a 75% plug and play success rate. This is not a guarantee; simply an estimate based on our experience with this inventory grade. Warranties are not valid on this condition of product and product is sold “AS IS”; cosmetic and operational condition is not guaranteed.

Mobile Grading

Mobile Grades
Our new Mobile Grades are based on industry-wide standards developed by CTIA in conjunction with stakeholders including major wireless carriers like AT&T and Verizon and secondary market resellers like USPLIN CORP.

Inventory conditions for cell phones are now limited to: New, Used or Salvage.

We no longer recognize the condition types of “Customer Returns”, “Refurbished”, etc. for cell phones and other mobile devices.

“New” items are brand new items with original packaging.

“Salvage” means the phones have not been tested or that they are broken, missing parts, user ID locked or otherwise non-functional; they are usually only good for parts and cannot be disputed for quality purposes.

All other phones are now described as “Used” condition and must include a Grade.

Grade A: Like new condition
Negligible scratches and blemishes. Tested and fully functional with clean ESN and no user locks (for example FMIP / iCloud locked).

Grade B: Light wear and tear
May have one or several light scratches that do not catch a fingernail or tool. No cracks present on the device or display. Tested and fully functional with clean ESN and no user locks (not FMIP / iCloud locked).

Grade C: More aggressive wear and tear
May have cracks on certain surface areas such as camera lens, rear lens but not on display cover lens (Glass panel and Digitizer). Tested and fully functional with clean ESN and no user locks (for example FMIP / iCloud locked).

Grade D: Heavy cosmetic damage with cover lens cracks
Will have excessive damage on multiple surface areas and cracks on the display cover lens but not on the LCD. In addition there may be missing parts, liquid damage and screen burn present. Units are tested but may not be fully functional. Clean ESN but units may be user locked (for example FMIP / iCloud locked).

Grade E: Heavy cosmetic damage with LCD damage
Will have excessive damage on multiple surface areas including the display internal structure. Damage may range from but not limited to liquid damage, missing parts, screen burn etc. Units are tested but may not be fully functional. Clean ESN but units may be user locked (for example FMIP / iCloud locked).
